Roza Palmer

Born and raised in Gomel, Russia, my family and I moved to Chicago nearly 30 years ago. There, I was able to grow my career as a civil engineer and raise a family of two beautiful children. Four years ago, I came to San Diego for a vacation with my family, fell in love with this amazing city, and never looked back. Although I am a long way from Russia, I am still very much in touch with my European roots.

I started writing poetry when I was just 16 years old. After receiving numerous Editor's Choice Awards and winning a publishing contract with the International Library of Poetry when I was 18, I knew that writing had become a significant part of who I was. So, I started exploring my other writing interests, and since have written many more poems, song lyrics, children's books and even screenplays. When I first came to Del Mar over four years ago, the very first place I walked into was Earth Song Bookstore, and as I walked out, I had a thought about how wonderful it would be if this place was mine. Little did I know, that four years later, almost to the date - It was.

As co-owner of Earth Song Bookstore I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Marie Diamond, contributor to the best selling book "The Secret."
